With the recent release of OSHA’s New Crystalline Silica Dust Rule, employers are looking to ensure that they are following the new standard. The standard (29 CFR 1926.1153) requires employers to limit worker exposures to respirable crystalline silica and to take other steps to protect workers. Additional information on OSHA’s silica standard can be found at https://www.osha.gov/sites/default/files/publications/OSHA3681.pdf. The IEP Group can test for respirable crystalline silica as it relates to the Industrial Hygiene industry and worker safety.
