Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP)
A new laboratory required a Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) in compliance with OSHA 1910.1450. The IEP Group toured the facility to determine possible hazards and worked with the safety officer to develop a comprehensive CHP. To supplement the CHP, area and personnel monitoring was performed for each constituent of concern, including hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, ammonia and other chemicals. The IEP Group was able to provide the plan and ensure that employees were below the OSHA, NIOSH and ACGIH exposure levels for tested chemicals.
