Soil Management Plan (SMP)

On an Army Corp of Engineers project, lead-based paint contamination was a concern to the Corp for both employee exposure and for possible water contamination. The IEP Group produced a soil management plan (SMP) to control runoff of potentially contaminated soils. Upon approval of the plan, the IEP Group performed personnel and area monitoring during the excavation process and performed soil sampling to determine proper treatment of soils during the construction process.
